Just in case you didn't know, chickens a must have in your family! They are a true joy to keep. They are very low maintenance and of course give you eggs of all shape and sizes. Chickens are great at keeping tics and bugs on the run and out of your yard. If you gave a small garden or potted plants their manure is a great source of fertilizer.
There is all types of chickens. Big, small, and ton of breeds to choose from. Each breed brings something different to the table. To start you need to figure out how many your small yard can handle, or if you have plenty of space you need to know how many chickens you want. The next step is to build or buy a chicken coop.
